Admission Criteria

  • Students who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
  • Monthly gross family income: below $2,000; or Monthly gross average income: below $500.
  • Weak in the skills for the subject(s) applied for: Primary 2's year-end result not exceeding 75%.

The Neu PC Programme is launched by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) as part of its aim to develop Singapore into an e-inclusive society with a pervasive e-lifestyle where everyone, regardless of age, language or social background, has equal opportunity to leverage on infocomm technology and enjoy its benefits.

What is the Neu PC Programme?
The Neu (new and used) PC Programme offers two options to low-income families to own a PC. They can either choose to apply for a new PC at a very affordable price, or receive a refurbished PC, for free.

An administration fee is chargeable for every application of new and refurbished PC. To apply for the Neu PC Programme, applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Gross household income not exceeding $2000 per month or per capita monthly income of the household is no more than $500 (or $700 if a household member is permanently disabled).
  • Have never obtained a PC under any similar assistance programme.
  • Household does not have a working PC.
  • Applicant or at least one member from the household must have attended the National IT Literacy Programme.

How to apply?
Application forms are available at the CDAC Headquarter and its student service centres. Alternatively, applicant can download the application form at the CDAC website (www.cdac.org.sg).
