INTRODUCTION

Window XP is becoming the default operating system for most computers today.  However, when using Window XP, user may encounter system crash, corruption of system files and other file problems.  Hence, participants should be equipped with sufficient knowledge of the operating systems and its utilities to fix and resolve such problems.

 

The course aims to equip participants with knowledge of and skills to use essential utilities to enable them to perform routine and preventive system maintenance. It will provide a foundation for participants who wish to go for the PC Maintenance & Trouble Shooting Skills Course subsequently

What are operating Systems; Types of Operating Systems; DOS; Scandisk Utility; Batch Files/ Understanding Cache; CD-ROM Drive Configuration; Windows XP; Creating, Managing Shortcuts/Start Menu/Find File; Control Panel, Installation of Software, Display Setting and Regional Setting; Intro to Win XP Utilities and Registry

15 Hours, lessons are held twice a week on

weekdays evening; or once a week on weekend   afternoons or evenings
