CERTIFICATE IN CARING OF INFANTS & TODDLERS IN THE HOME

 

INTRODUCTION

RTRC Asia is a leader in the training and development of early childhood professionals both locally and in the region. The course serves to equip family day care providers with the knowledge to facilitate daily activities in taking care of infants and toddlers in a safe and healthy home setting. 

 

COURSE CONTENT

33 hrs of classroom training

- on  Principles of Infant & Toddler Development,  Safety, Health & Nutrition,Designing a family childcare environment, and Working With Parents

30 hrs of practicum

- Participants will be attached to childcare centers to complete 15hrs of practicumworking with toddlers. For the remaining 15hrs of practicum, participants will setup conducive and safe home environment to care for infants and toddlers

 

COURSE MEDIUM

English or Mandarin

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

w has at least Sec 3 education, or its equivalent

w with at least 2yrs experience in caring of

   children

w be certified medically fit

w pass the pre-admission interview

w be committed to be officially engaged in the

   taking care of infants and toddlers in the

   home upon completion of course

-  Award holders must achieve at least 75% attendance and sit for all exams. Those who failed to do so    

   would have to refund the sponsored amount of $262.00 to CDAC.

-  Registration fees of $52.50 payable to RTRC Asia Pte Ltd (to be borne by the Award holders)
