HIGHER NITEC IN ACCOUNTING

 

INTRODUCTION

The Higher Nitec in Accounting is designed to develop participants into competent accounts assistants for employment in the commercial, service and public sectors.

 

COURSE CONTENT

Comprises of 11 Exam papers :

 

Office Applications              Advanced Accounting I, II

Business Communication   Auditing

Business Fundamentals     Costing

Accounting Fundamentals  Intermediate Accounting

Human Resource Administration

Public Relations

English

 

COURSE SCHEDULE

Twice a week on weekday evenings (2 years duration)

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Applicants should be above 18 years old and with at least :

3 GCE ‘O’ levels qualification - with English (Grade 1-7),   Maths / Principles of Accounts (Grade 1-7) and 1 other subject (Grade 1-7)   OR  Nitec in Service Skills (Office)

 

Participants who do not meet the Course Entry Criteria

 

Applicants who do not have the above qualification or have lost their documentary proof, would have to enroll for an Entry Test administered by the ITE. The details are as follows :

Award holders must achieve at least 75% attendance and sit for all examinations. Those who failed to do so would have to refund the sponsored amount of $1200.Trainees must bear the cost of training materials, registration charges and exam fees of approximately $650.
