CDAC Workfare Programme is a new initiative piloted since 2 January 2006. Its objectives are:

• To help the single-parent, low-income and dysfunctional families to become self-sufficient and self-reliant through adequate employment; and
• To reaffirm the work ethic by extending supportive help schemes to the case clients when they demonstrate efforts to upgrade, to find jobs and to stay employed.
